Shagg plays the Original Sessions Art House concert series at Santos Party House, Andrew WK's giant new music venue in Chinatown/Tribeca. Moby and Thurston Moore are regulars, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs played there in April. Our show is Saturday, May 16 at 10:00 PM. Santos Party House is at 96 Lafayette Street, about a block below Canal. Like Halley's Comet, Shagg comes by every so often. So you shouldn't miss our show on Friday, February 13, when we return to the stage to perform a set hosted by the OS Art House series. The show is at the John Street Bar & Grill, a divey place in the financial district that has 17 beers on tap. The cover is 10 bucks and includes a copy of our latest CD. It has been a tough summer for music: this week we lost Isaac Hayes, and in July it was Hiram Bullock. Club closings are nothing new to New York City, but we were particularly sorry to say goodbye to The Baggot Inn, which was a sort of home for us back in the early days, up through our first CD release party.
